Michael Lamendola has been appreciating music since he was a small child growing up in Waco, Texas. From the oldies station in the car to the Sammy Davis Jr albums at home, Michael had a wide range of musical influences. As a teenager, he bought his first CD, a Steve Miller Band Greatest Hits Album, and he progressed from 50s and 60s to the classic rock of the 70s. Add all of that to his Master of Fine Arts degree in Musical Theatre, and you'd be hard pressed to name a song Michael doesn't know!

And it's not just listening to music that keeps Michael going. His expansive theatrical resume has taken him all over the country, performing in productions such as Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat as Joseph, South Pacific as Lieutenant Cable, and Children of Eden as Father to name only a few. Plus, Michael has a passion for classic jazz and standards, and can sing everything from Sinatra to Strayhorn. In addition, Michael has taught children the value of theatre as a director of fully staged productions, as well as private instruction.

Michael continues to perform in a variety of different venues, from established musicals to exciting new works, and from an intimate cabaret setting to theaters that seat five hundred and more. As a performer, Michael utilizes everything from the flow of the lyric to the movement of the chords to influence his performance. For him, it's not just about singing the song, but rather conveying it to the audience, so that everyone in attendance can feel the joy, heartache, struggle, and triumph of the music and lyric.
